Good morning and Happy Monday to all of you out there!
Today I want to share some photos from our trip. Brad and I were on the beautiful island of Kauai from June 8th until the 21st for our 25th wedding anniversary and we made good use of our time there by trying to see and do so much as chances are not likely that we will ever make it back there, although a local told me that once you go to Hawaii once you will go two more times, ha, I can only hope she was right! Anyway today I want to show you some of the beauty there is on the island of Kauai. On June 17th we drove to the opposite side of the island to see the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” (as the locals call it), Waimea Canyon, although we took a lot of photos and they turned out beautiful I think they still do not do the true beauty of it justice. There were many lookout spots and a few hiking trails to enjoy, although the hiking trails are not for the faint of heart, believe me the trail we hiked was tough but oh so worth it!!! We did most of the Canyon Trail, the last part of the trail was another 20 minute hike we were told by another hiker who had just come back from that part of the trail and we decided we had enough of a workout for the day so we headed back. Before our trip besides doing a running program I did 8 weeks of TRX (lots of squats in this program!!) with a presonal trainer and boy oh boy was I glad that Bethany worked me so hard as it made this hike more enjoyable for me, like I said before it was tough!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.
