Good morning everyone!
It’s another bitterly cold morning here in Southwestern Ontario, -23 degrees. Seriously Mother Nature can you please turn up the heat!!
I have a busy but FUN day ahead of me today. This morning I am heading to a new friends home to meet up and make cards, a morning full of girl talk, card making and friendship, a perfect way to start the day!! Then when I get home I am turning a very large chunk of ground beef and a bag of potatoes into some yummy Shepherds Pie for supper tonight. Today is the family pot luck dinner for Damon, Colin and Chad’s birthday at my house. I have a cake on order from The Painted Cake here in Strathroy that I am picking up this afternoon. I have told you before how much I love the cakes Tanya makes, so yummy!!
So there you have it, a day filled with friends, family and great food, there really is nothing better in the world than those things!!!!
Okay I have now blabbered on enough (Is blabbered on even a word? Well it is now, haha) I want to show you another spring feeling card I created the other day using the great set Sheltering Tree. I love, love, love this set, you really must have it for your stamp collection, trust me!!!With this card I inked the reverse side of the stamp first to give it the fuller look. If you are not sure what I am talking about let me explain to you as I had in an earlier post using Balloon Bash. You take you photopolymer stamp and put it on your clear bock the opposite way. This means you put the raised image against the clear block so your solid back is facing out (if I did videos this would be so much easier for you to understand as I would be showing you, sorry, maybe one day I will get to doing videos). You ink this up and stamp on your card stock, you then clean your stamp and switch it around to the correct way of mounting your stamp and away you go. This is the beauty of photopolymer stamps, not only are they super easy to line up but you can do these super fun, alternate ways of using your stamps that you can not do with clear mount or wood mount. My card also called out for some Wild Wasabi painted Blooms Cotton Twine, I just love this twine, I hope Stampin’ Up! brings more colours out when they do their next catalogue.
Well this girl is off to get things accomplished before I head out the door.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!
Marcy
