Good morning everyone.
The card I am sharing with you today is going to be part of my upcoming class Foxy Friends on Tuesday June 14.
When I saw this set I just knew I had to add it to my collection right away, it is so darn cute!! It is also a great value at $33.00 for 29 Photopolymer stamps, you can make so many cute woodland creatures with this set, it is also sold as a bundle with the Fox Builder Punch for $50.75, a 10% savings when you bundle instead of purchasing separately. How cute is my little skunk (or shall I say Peppe’ Le Phew, ha-ha, I am dating myself with this), like I said, you can make so many woodland creatures with this bundle.
Here are the details of my card; my base is Thick Whisper White(5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″), followed by a layer of Cucumber Crush(5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″), then another layer of Whisper White (regular thickness, 5 1/4″ x 4″). For this layer I inked up my Woodland Embossing Folder (YIPPEE it’s back!!!!) with my Soft Sky ink pad and ran it through my Big Shot to give it the blue sky background. My Cucumber Crush top layer (for the grass) is cut freehand to give it the gentle slope. The sentiment (isn’t it just so perfect for my card!!) is from the new Here For You stamp set (this was also on the top of my must have list) and is stamped in Archival Black. My tree stump is Crumb Cake and then stamped with Soft Suede, my sun is from the Swirly Bird & Swirly Scribbles bundle, stamped and die cut in Crushed Curry. Peppe’ is punched out with the Fox Builder punch in Basic Black and Whisper White.
The inside sentiment is “So sorry you’re hurting”, I like the thought of a cute/funny card instead of a pretty/very sentimental card every once in a while, sometimes it is appropriate for the occasion and person receiving it.
I hope you get a giggle from my card today, I know I did!
