Hi everyone!
Sorry for the late post, my fun weekend got the better of me and I am running a tad behind….
Today I am playing along with the What Will You Stamp? Challenge Blog.
Have you ever heard of them? I hadn’t until recently when a friend pointed me in their direction, thanks Jenny xo
Every Monday they take a different stamp set and the team members create something using that stamp set, they open the challenge to everyone to post their creations using the stamp set on their blog, Facebook page, and or tag them on Instagram, they ask that you post within the week. Fun eh!!!!
This week the stamp set they chose is At Home With You (from the Annual Catalogue, page 54), I have that stamp set so I was happy to play along!
I chose the fall image with the sunflowers and pumpkins to build my card around.
I stamped the image in Archival Black as I wanted to colour it in with my ink pads and Blender Pen, this is the best black that Stampin’ Up! offers to use when you want to watercolour as it will not bleed, you just need to give it a few minutes to make sure it is dry and set before you start to watercolour it.
Look at this gorgeous matching DSP (Designer Series Paper), are you wondering where I got it from???
I customized the DSP to suit the colour I wanted, yup I made it this gorgeous Crushed Curry!! I took a strip of the black and white patterned paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP and added the colour with my Sponge Brayer and Crushed Curry ink pad. So super easy to do!! You just ink up your brayer and roll it over the DSP until you get the desired depth of colour, easy peasy!!!
I added some Crushed Curry Solid Bakers Twine tied around it and then of course I had to add a splatter of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, you guys know how much I love this stuff!!!
I hope some of you will look the WWYS Challenge Blog up, they have some great inspiration on it, I know you will love it!!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate it!
Hugs,
Marcy

Thanks Jenny, I can’t take credit for coming up with the idea of colouring the DSP, not sure who did it originally for me to tag them, but I agree, it is a great idea and does add to a project!
