Hi everyone!
Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp? This week we were challenged to use the stamp set Letters for You from the Annual Catalogue.I created this scrapbook page for my son to celebrate his Hole in One using the awesome Letters for You stamp set and the coordinating Large Letters Framelits.
I love the way the letters have the slightly distressed look to them. If you have them and are wondering why they do not stamp with a solid coloured image, this is the way they were designed to look, there is nothing wrong with your stamp set or the way you are stamping them.
I chose my colours to coordinate with the photo of Connor holding up his golf ball beside the hole on the green. The great 2016-2018 In Color, Emerald Envy is perfect for the title, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand are the perfect compliment as there is a sand bunker and the sky in my photo as well.
A couple drops of Sahara Sand reinker take the Embossing Paste from white to the colour of the sand.
The row of stars along side the photo is created with the star border from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.I ran my Sahara Sand cardstock through my Big Shot first, then I ran a piece of Emerald Envy cardstock through the Big Shot and popped the Emerald Envy stars into the Sahara Sand.
A few assorted sizes of the Hearts & Stars Elements (from the Annual Catalogue as well) sprinkled across the page really finishes it off I think, don’t you?For the coordinating page I added some cards from the Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack. This card pack had the exact sentiments I wanted for Connors page! I also popped a few Emerald Envy stars on this card to tie it together with the main page.I trimmed down the Hip Hip Hooray card and layered it over a piece of Emerald Envy cardstock. I placed them over a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock that I had used my Embossing Paste and Pattern Party Decorative Mask so that coordinated as well with my main page.If you are wondering why I have included a photo of the sun in my layout…. it was the day of the Solar Eclipse, how could I not include a photo of the sun!!!
Did you notice that the cans of beer even matched the Emerald Envy, and me being me, I had to line them up nicely on the golf cart seat to get a good photo of them, hahaha!!! My family occasionally razzes me about my constant need to take photos of everything, and line things up just so…. well I think Connor will look back in years to come at his double page and be glad mom is a little bit of a weirdo, ha!
Are you like me and take a kazillion photos, do you do anything with them???? I used to struggle with that, but since I started a Memory Keeping Club this year I have really gotten so much better at getting my precious memories off my phone and onto pages. It really would have been a shame in my opinion if I didn’t get this awesome days photos printed and into Connors book for him to enjoy for years to come!!!
If you have a demonstrator who offers Memory Keeping classes or clubs, I strongly urge you to join it, the feeling of pride and accomplishment is amazing!! If you are local to me, I would LOVE for you to join my Memory Keeping Club, it truly is a great way to get started or get back into getting your memories into a book for everyone to enjoy. Memories fade over time, but a book containing your precious photos and memories will last forever!
Today’s post was rather long as I had so much to share, thank you for reading all the way to the end, I really appreciate it!
