Welcome to another addition of the Creating Kindness Design Team Blog Hop.
This month we are focusing on support & friendship.
The card I created is for my nephew Drew, he is my older sister Anne’s middle son. He has spent the last 4 years attending the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine school in Arizona. It has been a long journey with many hurdles along the way, the biggest being a Canadian living in another country far away from his support system. We actually flew down there in June for his graduation ceremony. This summer he wrote his board exams and is now officially Dr. Drew MacKay-Timmermans, we couldn’t be more proud of him!!!!!Here is a photo of us with Drew at his graduation in June, unfortunatly Connor and Ali couldn’t join us as they had to work.
Okay, I think I have rambled on long enough, it’s time to share the card I created for Drew.The stamp set is called Color Me Happy, it pretty much sums up how we feel about Drew and his accomplishment. I chose the cute bird stamp as my main focal image and coloured him in with my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack and my Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend marker. I put the little line burst stamp (from the ready to Pop stamp set in the Annual Catalogue)on either side of the celebrate sentiment to really accentuate the sentiment.
Here is Drew with his card, I think he liked it!
Here is the video I created to go along with today’s Blog post.
The measurements for my card are as follows;
Thick Whisper White, cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″
Crushed Curry, 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
Thick Whisper White, 5-1/4″ x 4″
Color Theory 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stack, 5-1/4″ x 4″
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate it!
