Hi everyone!
Today I want to share with you the cute little bath bomb gift boxes I made for my team.
I created these boxes using the gorgeous Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Merry Little Christmas 12″ x 12″ Cardstock Pack. Both of these are on the Retiring List, don’t delay purchasing if you want some of this awesome paper!! Both of these papers are a heavy weight, making them perfect for creating gift boxes!
I used a 6″ x 6″ square of each for the base and the lid of my box, I scored at 1-1/2″ on all four sides of both pieces. Burnish all the score lines with your Boner Folder.
Cut on the black line up to the score mark on either end, take a smidge off the edges (also known as miter the edges) so they fold nicely to create nice sides of both the base and lid. Place tape (I recommend Tear & Tape or Fast Fuse as they are stronger) to the outside corners and fold in to secure.
This is what the edges of your cut lines should look like. I do the outside edge of the flap as well.
This is where you place your tape to close up you base/lid.
As you see here, the edges match up nicely because of taking a smidge off.
So now all you need to do is close the other end of your box. You do the exact same thing for the lid. The finished box measures 3″ wide by 2-1/4″ high, the perfect size to fit the bath bombs I purchased from my cousin Jenn’s store, The Mystic Shop (www.themysticshop.ca) in Port Elgin Ontario. She makes them herself using essential oils, and they are fabulous, I know as I had to try one to make sure they were good enough for my girls! If you are in the area, stop in, Jenn has a lot of really cool things in her shop, make sure you let her know that I sent you!!
Now that is an easy peasy gift box!!! You just need to tie some pretty coordinating ribbon around it. I used the 5/8″ Burlap ribbon and the 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon for my boxes.
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
