Hi everyone!
I hope you all have had a wonderful festive season so far, mine certainly has been!
The card I am sharing with you today is one I created for my brother-in-law Willy (his birthday was the 19th) with the Ready for Christmas Bundle. I only used the dog, table and presents stamps and coordinating dies. Just because it is a Christmas set doesn’t mean you need to put it away, pull out the different elements from your sets to use them year round like I did!
In a previous post I had mentioned that I was planning on creating a card for Willy using this stamp set as he and my sister Anne had a little red miniature Dachshund Greta.
I think I did a pretty good job of colouring the little dog so she looks like Greta. I first coloured her in with my Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend marker, then went over it with my Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend marker to blend the colour down to a more muted orange colour.
I gave the background of my card a light watercolour wash to simulate the ground and wall. I didn’t want my dog and table to be just floating, I am a little weird that way, I need to ground things wherever I can.
The sentiment on my card is from the stamp set Happy Wishes and from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Brochure that starts on January 3, 2018.
Willy loved the card, that made me one happy stamper!
All the products I used can be purchased through my Online Store, simply click on the image below and it will take you there and add it to your shopping cart, except the Happy Wishes of course, you need to wait until January 3 to be able to earn that for FREE.
If you live in Canada and do not have a demonstrator, I would love to send you the current and upcoming catalogues, just send me an email and I will get them to you as soon as possible.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Marcy
