How To Create A Fun Card Using Paper Scraps

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a card with you that uses up some of those scraps of paper you may have laying around

As Stampin’ Up! has confirmed that yes there is a colour refresh coming (this is where they retire some of their core colours and replace them, either with new or with returning In Colour favourites), I thought I best be creating with some of my favourite colours as we really won’t know until the new catalogue. So I pulled out my Polished Pink (retiring In Colour), my favourite pink, and Coastal Cabana, I love these two colours together!

Here are the measurements for my card:

Coastal Cabana cardstock base – 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″
Coastal Cabana cardstock – 2 strips that measure 1″ x 3-3/4″
Polished Pink cardstock – 3 strips that measure 1″ x 3-3/4″
Basic White cardstock – 3-3/4″ x 5″, 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″, 4″ x 5-1/4″, a piece to die cut out a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies (approximately 2-1/2″), a piece to stamp, colour and fussy cut out the kitty cat, a piece to stamp the sentiment on and die cut out with one of the label dies from the Cracker & Treat Box Dies

My kitty is coloured in the following Blends – Pale Papaya Combo, Light Polished Pink, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Pumpkin Pie, #1000 from the Light Natural Tones

I glued the cardstock strips to the one piece of Basic White and once the glue had set I used the polka dot embossing folder (from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders – Online Exclusive) on this layer

I finished my card with some 2021 – 2023 In Colour Opal Rounds – oh how I am going to miss this group of colours! I am crossing my fingers that some of them (or all) will be introduced as new core colours for us!

In this class you will be creating 6 gorgeous cards, 2 each of the 3 different designs, you will receive a PDF with all of the measurements as well as a supply list of all the products I used to create the projects, an embedded private link for the videos for each project is also included so you can create them at your leisure
