Bird’s Eye View – Graduation Card

Hi everyone!

Today I have a fun card for you that featured the cute Bird’s Eye View stamp set that can be found on page 48 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. This cute stamp set was top of my list for “must have” with it’s fun images!

I teach a monthly card class at a seniors complex, and each month I ask the lovely ladies what type of cards they would like to create next month (we create 3 different cards together), it was requested that they create a graduation card next month. I pulled out the cute set and looked for sentiments that might go along with it…Lighting the Way and Charming Sentiments had exactly what I was looking for!

Here are the measurements for my card:

Misty Moonlight cardstock card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4, plus a piece to stamp the sentiment on (this was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed), I flagged the one end
Basic White cardstock – 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″, a piece to die cut out a rectangle from the Nested Essentials Dies that measures approximately 2-3/8″ x 3″, a piece to stamp and fussy cut out the leaves, as well as a piece that measures 4″ x 5-1/4″
Thick Basic White – a piece to stamp the bird and fussy cut out
Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) – 4″ x 5-1/4″, plus a piece that measures 3/4″ x 4″
I added 5 Misty Moonlight gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack
My bird is coloured with the following Blends – Misty Moonlight, Boho Blue, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight
My books are coloured with Pebbled Path Blends, I outlines the sides of the books with Light Pool Party
I used Balmy Blue ink and my Blending Brush above the stamped books to add some colour behind the fussy cut bird
