Good morning everyone.
It’s been a rough week here for my family as we are all down with the flu. It hit Brad on Sunday night, me Monday morning, Connor Tuesday night and Danielle Wednesday. I can’t recall in the past 10 years all of us being sick with the same flu at the same time. Danielle stays at Damon’s on Monday and Tuesday nights because of her school schedule, man I hope she didn’t give it to Damon and Ali. My sister Carole has it, as well as my sister Anne and her husband Willy. Willy was texting Brad last night asking what this strain was called, my sweet, sarcastic hubby said “The Nasty One”, ha-ha honey, you are so funny!!!
My fever has broke so I can focus enough to actually do my blog post.
I created this card using the large heart, red sequins and xoxo stamp from the January Paper Pumpkin kit Cute Conversations. I paired them with the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die, some Blushing Bride and Silver Sequin Trim. I attached them to a piece of Shimmery White card stock that I watercoloured using some Soft Sky.
This is the perfect card to give my awesome hubby today as it is the 32nd anniversary of our first date, a very special day to me. We usually celebrate it with a nice dinner but seeing as our appetites are almost non existent we will skip the fancy dinner tonight and just be happy that we have each other.
Before I go, here is a fun fact about the flu virus….. you are contagious 24 hours before your symptoms show up and the for up to 7 days after they appear, this is for adults, children are contagious for up to 12 days after their symptoms appear. This is why it gets spread so easily, people think they are all better and go out and about while they are still contagious…. I have cancelled our dinner at my favourite restaurant Rosina for Saturday night and I am sad about that, but cancelling is better than spreading “The Nasty One” to anyone else in my humble opinion. I am not sure what we will do if we run out of groceries before my 7 days are up??
Thanks for stopping by today.
Hugs, Marcy
