Good morning everyone.
I don’t normally post on the weekend, let alone on a Sunday but it is Valentine’s Day, everyone is still asleep here so why not.
I am sharing 2 things with you today, a card and a treat holder. Both are made with the hearts from the January Paper Pumpkin kit. This is the treat holder I made using two of the hearts. I ran a line of my Tombo Liquid Glue just inside the edge of the heart on the one side and placed the other heart on top of it. Once it was dried enough I did the same thing on the other side so it shows the two shades of grey, this automatically gives it an opening that is easy to pop your treats into.
I used one of the foil heart doilies and some pearl trim from the Love Blossoms Embellishment kit along with a Bow Paper Clip and a heart punch out of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper to decorate the front of my treat bag. Super easy and super cute!
Next up is the card I created. This card is a 5 x 5 card as I needed a base big enough to fit the entire heart on it. This also gave me the opportunity to use my Monarch butterfly thinlit, as it is so large I don’t use it much.
I ran my Happy Heart embossing folder through my Big Shot twice so it would be large enough to fill the base of my card. I stamped the filigree image from my Timeless Textures stamp set on the heart so it wasn’t so plain and boring. I layered my butterfly to soften the look, I used some Gold Foil Sheets for the bottom one and then added one made with White Vellum Cardstock. I finished it off with some Gold Metallic Bakers Twine.
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s day whatever you might be up to!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Marcy
