Good morning everyone!
Today I want to share my upcoming fundraiser with all of you. This cause is very near and dear to my heart as I lost my mother to this disease. In the past my family and I have done the Relay For Life, our team was Team Noreen, in honour of mom, we had fun coloured shirts for everyone, even our dogs had coordinating bandanas! This was us in 2003 and 2004.
This year when I saw the new stamp set that is available on June 1, I knew it was time to do a different type of fundraiser!
This stamp set was designed by Patty Bennett a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who reached one million dollars in sales in 2015 and Stampin’ Up!s design artists in September 2015 in honour of her mom who passed away from cancer. It takes a while for a stamp set to go from a vision to product in hand.
As you can see, there are so many different elements to this set besides the ribbon, making it very versatile in my opinion. There are so many different coloured ribbons for different illnesses, all you have to do is one quick search on the computer and you will come up with all the different colours and their cause.
My fundraiser is being held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Columbian Room. 124 Front Street East, Strathroy on Saturday June 10. I have two different times for you to choose from, 10 am – 12 pm or 1 pm – 3 pm.
The fee for this event is $55, this includes the clear mount stamp set Ribbon of Courage OR $84, this included the clear mount stamp set Ribbon of Courage and the coordinating Support Ribbon Framelits.
You will be making 5 different cards with your stamp set.
$10 from every registration fee will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Department at the London Health Sciences Center, London Ontario.
Snacks and beverages will be provided.
A small Silent Auction will also be held with all proceeds going to Ovarian Cancer Research.
Registration deadline for my event is Friday May 26.
If you have any questions about this, please email me.
Gather your friends and join me in raising funds for research to fight this disease!!
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!
Hugs,
Marcy
