Today’s card combines elements from both the Annual Catalogue and the Holiday Catalogue and like my last card, black and white, well, there is some Smoky Slate in there as well…
I absolutely love the Painted Harvest Stamp Set, but I wanted my card to have a completely different look than one of a typical sunflower. I pulled out some of my DSP to see what inspired me and BAM!! Merry Little Christmas DSP in the black and white gingham pattern, ooohh this was going to look so good together I thought!!
Man, was I pleased that my “idea” worked out as well as I had imagined it, sometimes things work out like that, other times they get filed in the garbage can…
Here is the video I did for creating my card.
Here are the measurements for my card;
Thick Whisper White, cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″
Basic Black, 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
Whisper White, 4″ x 5-1/4″ (Tip, I always find it easier to adhere a small piece of DSP onto a full sheet of cardstock rather than trying to line them up)
Merry Little Christmas DSP, 4″ x 2″
My sunflowers are stamped in Smoky Slate and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
My sentiment is from the Hello Friend Stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.
