Hi everyone!
Welcome to another edition of WWYS, this week we are focusing on the Pieces & Patterns stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.
This is a cute and fun stamp set to play with, in fact I have done a few different cards and a Memory Keeping double page layout with it.
I decided for today’s challenge I would focus on the wild about you sentiment.
I started by stamping the sentiment in Memento Black on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
I then cut the ‘about you’ part off as all I wanted was the wild part of the sentiment. I coloured the letters in with my Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Watercolour Pencils. I used my Blender Pen to blend the two colours.
Next I pulled out my Brusho Crystal Colour, I have not had a chance to play with it and I thought today is the day!
The instructions say to poke 2 or 3 holes in the cap and then cover to seal, so that is what I did. I used a sewing needle to poke 3 holes then used some washi tape to cover the holes.
I first punched a circle out of Watercolour Paper using my 2″ circle punch, I covered the entire surface with water using my Aqua Painter. I then sprinkled some Yellow and Gamboge Brusho over the wet paper. I then used my Stampin’ Spritzer (filled with water) to add more water to blend the colours even more.
Once dry, I heat embossed the sentiment in Copper Emboss Powder. I wanted the Wild to really stand out, so I sprinkled some more of the Gamboge colour onto a clear block and used my Aqua Painter to blend the colour crystals and then coloured in the letters.
I really like the look of it!!
I tucked some Copper Metallic Thread and Linen Thread under my sentiment.
I layered the stamped sentiments onto some Early Espresso cardstock. The card front is random stamped with the cute little bear image in Sahara Sand, I wanted it to be light and subtle and not take away from the sentiment, I think I succeeded.
Here are the dimensions for my card;
Crumb Cake cardstock – 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” , scored at 4-1/4”
Early Espresso cardstock – 5-3/8” x 4-1/8”
Crumb Cake cardstock – 5-1/4” x 4”

Crumb Cake cardstock – 11/16” x 5-1/4”
Early Espresso cardstock – diecut using Layering Circles Dies
