Hi everyone!
Today I am coming to you with the Creating Kindness Design Team’s monthly Hop.
This month our special guest is the talented Valerie Perlin and she can be found at http://ateliersdeval.fr/
Besides the Blog Hop, some of us have created videos to go along with our projects, please take a moment or two to watch them as well!
This month our theme is Mixed Media or Florals, Designer’s Choice!
If you have been following along from the start of the Hop, then you have arrived from the talented Jenny Hall’s Blog, wasn’t that a great project!
I chose Florals for my project to share with all of you!
I used the Pop Of Petals stamp set and Four-Petal Flower Punch that can be purchased separately or as a bundle, it can be found on page 47 of the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.
As you can see, I sponged some Petal Pink ink on the Whisper White cardstock in the background, I felt that this subtle colour would really make my flowers pop!
My flowers are two different shades of purple (a colour I don’t normally use, but the new ones are so fabulous, how could I not!!), I first stamped the flower in Highland Heather, I then stamped it off on a scratch piece of paper, then used my sponge dauber with some Gorgeous Grape ink and daubed it here and there on the flower. I Love the way it turned out!
I did the same thing with my two leaves, I used Pear Pizzazz as my base colour and Mossy Meadow as the accent colour.I used the coordinating punch for the flowers and fussy cut out the two leaves.
I added a few drops here and there of the Fine Tip Liquid Glue to mimic the look of dew drops on the petals of the flowers and the leaves. Although it is tough to see, I did add a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the center of each of the flowers. A splatter of it across the page gives it that little bit of extra sparkle that I do love!!
My sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set that can be found on page 129 of the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.
Here is the video I created to go along with my Blog Post
