I am excited to be here with you today for my first official Hop as a team member of the Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop!!
This is a very talented group of ladies and I am so I am honoured to have been asked to be a part of!!!
This month the theme is Love Your Selfie, eek…… a page with a photo of me alone…. not something I am overly comfortable with. I am sure I am not alone with that one, who really likes photos of themselves, and then a page dedicate to a photo of yourself, yikes!
I chose the title for my page to be “Be Happy” as this is something I need to remind myself of. As a mom, I am always worried about my kids (and stressed if you ask my kids!!), but I think this is just being a mom, you worry about all the little things. So the title Be Happy is perfect I feel to accompany the photo I chose for this page.
The “be” is stamped and die cut using the Lined Alphabet Bundle found on page 174 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual catalogue (Grey Granite ink and cardstock), I purchased this bundle specifically for my scrapbooking/memory keeping. I added a sprinkle of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to the top left and bottom right of the page as they coordinate perfectly with the colours in the piece of Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper I chose. A few dots of Frost White Shimmer Paint (applied with a fine tipped paint brush dipped into the pot of paint) brings some of that sparkle that I love. A strip of Grey Granite 1/2″ Textured Ribbon and Berry Burst 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon pulls more of the colours from the designer series paper. The photo of me is mounted on a piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock.
For the word Happy, I used the Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies, I purchased this bundle (Merry Christmas To All) from the Holiday Catalogue thinking about my scrapbooking/memory keeping, I do love my sentiment dies!!
To make the sentiment have more substance on the page, I die cut it out 3 times in Blushing Bride cardstock and then glued them together, this really adds bulk to it and makes it pop off the page!
