I am super excited to share the oh so pretty card and gift packaging I created for some pretty special people in my life that were at OnStage in Orlando.
I used the gorgeous new Happiness Surrounds stamp set and Snowfall Thinlits Dies to create the card and decorate the gift packaging.
To create the gift packaging, I used a piece of the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper, I cut 2 pieces that measure 4″ x 6″ and I scored them at 2 1/4″. I die cut out an oval out of the top of each piece of the DSP to create handles, I used the coordinating scalloped oval and die cut some Blackberry Bliss cardstock to reinforce my handles. I then attached both pieces of DSP to a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock that was cut to 4″ x 8″ and scored at 1 3/4″ and 6 1/4″ so that I had a solid wrap to hold the gift box. I used a Gold Library Clip to keep both handles closed. I used some hot glue to attach a piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Ribbon and some Gold Mini Sequin Trim. A couple die cut flowers in Blushing Bride (edged with Clear Wink Of Stella and the petals curled using my Bone Folder) with a Gold Faceted Gems as the center and a couple sprigs of vellum die cut out using the Snowfall Thinlits Dies finishes it off.
My box is a Baker’s Box from the Holiday Catalogue that I coloured with some Blushing Bride ink and my Sponge Roller
The spray of flowers was created by using the Snowfall Thinlits Dies
I simply snipped off the one snowflake from the spray and adhered the flowers over top of the others to hide them. With die cutting it out in Pear Pizzazz it looks like a vine or branch to me. The flowers are die cut out of Blackberry Bliss as well as stamped in Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White cardstock to create a variety of different flowers for my spray. Of course I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the edges of each of the flowers to add some sparkle.
My card that I created to go along with the gift is a cute little 4 1/4″ card. To create this I took a piece of 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and scored it at 4 1/4″. My base is Thick Whisper White, followed by a layer of Blushing Bride that measures 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″. Next up is my stamped layer, I used some regular Whisper White cardstock for this layer. I stamped the medallion image in Blushing Bride ink (stamped off on a scrap piece of cardstock) randomly across the cardstock. I then ran it though the Big Shot using my Subtle Embossing Folder (oh how I love this folder) to give it a linen look. I then gave it a generous spritz with my Frost White Shimmer Paint spritzer that I created using a Stampin’ Spritzer and some rubbing alcohol along with a few drops of the shimmer paint. I die cut out 3 flowers to adhere to the card front (spritzing them first before attaching them), and finished the card front off using a couple of strips of both Blushing Bride and Whisper White (I stamped the sentiment on this layer), along with a few of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls sprinkled across the card front, both on the flowers and my sentiment strip.
I tucked the card inside the box so you could see some of the prettiness peaking through the window.
This gift packaging and card that I created truly were a labour of love, and I loved the way they turned out, pink, pretty and sparkly, all things that make my heart go pitter patter!!! I hope the recipients loved my gift as much as I loved creating it for them!!
Here are the three lovely ladies that I gave them to
Diana Gibbs and I being silly at Centre Stage, Diana and I have been friends since high school. Although she moved to the United States right after high school, she has been and always will be a foverver friend and holds a very special place in my heart, Love you Di xoxo
ReNee Wright and I. ReNee was my BDA (Business Development Advisor) two times in a row who I made a special personal connection with. I truly looked forward to our Bi-Weekly calls and credit her guidance with the growth I have had in my business. ReNee feels like an old friend rather than a Stampin’ Up! appointed employee to help me grow my business. I feel she will be a part of my life for a long time to come! You are truly awesome ReNee xo
And finally Jenny Hall (on the left in the blue shirt), we met online through Stampin’ Up! 2 years ago and she has become a dear friend. Love you Jenny xo
Cheryll Miller is on the other side of me, she is such a sweet person and I look forward to getting to know her better as we work together on the Creating Kindness Design Team and the Stampin’ Partners Tutorial Team.
I love that Stampin’ Up! has brought so many wonderful people into my life that I never would have met otherwise! Like I have always said ” It is so much more than stamps and ink”!!!
