Today I am going to take a break from Christmas/Holiday cards and share a floral card.
Although we are in full Holiday mode right now, I have been creating Christmas/Holiday cards since August, and I needed a little break so out came the flowers!!!
This card makes me smile as it incorporates so many things I love, flowers, pink and glitter!!
I used the Abstract Impressions Bundle found on page 129 of the Annual Catalogue to create this card, as well as the label framelit from the Lakeside Framelits Dies found on page 133 of the Annual Catalogue.
My colours are Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce. I random stamped the flower image in Petal Pink, the went over top with the smaller coordinating stamp and Poppy Parade ink. My solid leaves are stamped with Shaded Spruce (stamped off first to lighten the look) and then I stamped the lined leaf image over top in full strength Shaded Spruce. My die cut flowers are Whisper White cardstock that I sponged first with Petal Pink, then very lightly with Poppy Parade on the edges to give them a bit more dimension. I then went around the edges of each petal with my Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. A pearl popped in the center of each flower finishes it off.
Here are the dimensions for my card;
Thick Whisper White base, cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″
Petal Pink cardstock, cut to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
Poppy Parade cardstock, cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″
Whisper White cardstock, cut to 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
My label is die cut out of Petal Pink cardstock
Whisper White cardstock scrap the measures 2 5/8″ x 6/8″ that the sentiment is stamped on in Poppy Parade.
