As this is the last day of 2018, I want to take a moment to thank all of you who read my Blog, attend classes and shop with me, I truly appreciate all of the love and support you have shown me this past year! I wish you all the very best in the coming year xoxo
Today I have an adorable card to share with you that uses the cute couple from the Spirited Snowmen stamp set.
This cute stamp set can be found on page 38 of the Holiday catalogue and I am so sad to say that it is not carrying over, so that means if you have not gotten it and want it for next years cards, better get it ASAP as January 2nd it is gone forever!!!
How sweet are these two!!
My card is definitely a stepped up version, no simple stamping here!
I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, I stamped the couple first, then used a mask to cover them up and sponged Pool Party ink and Coastal Cabana ink over the entire card front, going heavier towards the top.
I then pulled out my Shimmery White Embossing Paste (I haven’t played with this in forever, I had forgotten how much fun it is!!) and swirled it around the base of the card front to make it look like the snowman couple are sitting in the fluffy, sparkly snow.
I set this aside for the entire night so it had plenty of time to dry. Next I ran my Embossing Buddy across the sky and then stamped the snowflakes randomly across the top and sides in Versa Mark ink. I then sprinkled some Whisper White Embossing Powder over the snowflakes and heat set it. Once this was done, I coloured the couple in with my Stampin’ Blends.
Yes this was a bit more work, but so very worth it as I love the end result!!
A few stamped snowflakes to decorate the inside finishes off the card.
Here are the measurements for my card;
Real Red cardstock base, cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″
Whisper White cardstock, cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″
Shimmery White cardstock, cut to 5 ” x 3 3/4″
Today’s card is part of the WWYS weekly challenge, click on the image below to see what the other team members have created.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, whatever your plans are for this evening, I hope you truly have a wonderful time!!
Happy New Year xo
