Hi everyone!
Today I am here with the Creating Kindness design Team and this month our theme is Shadow Box Cards, our guest designer is Heike Bolze
If you are Hopping in order, then you have arrived here from the lovely Charlet Mallett’s Blog, a gorgeous project as usual!
For my project, I created a Pop Up Shadow Box card based on a design that Jennifer McGuire had created using the adorable Animal Outing stamp set and coordinating Animal Friends Dies (bundled together to save 10%), as well as the Layering Ovals Dies from Stampin’ Up!
This type of card is so easy to create, much easier than I had originally thought it would be!
To create this you need two pieces of cardstock cut to 6 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, a heavier weight to be able to stand up and handle the center section of the top piece being cut out.
You score the cardstock (both pieces) at 1/2″ and 1″ on both sides of the 6 1/4″ side
Fold accordion style starting with the 1″ score line, burnish well with a bone folder to make crisp folds
Decide what piece is your card front and die cut the shape from that piece. Then you decorate/embellish it as you wish, use strong adhesive to glue the sides together.
