Hi everyone!
Today I have a pretty card for you that uses the Masking Technique and the To A Wild Rose stamp set
While masking has been around for a very long time, some of you may not be aware of it if you are fairly new to stamping, or not comfortable with it, so I want to show you just how easy it is!
Masking is a technique used to “layer” stamped images over top of each other, giving the overall card front more depth as some of the stamped images are in the foreground and some are behind, creating a stunning look to your cards/projects
It really is quite easy, you just create a Mask by stamping the image on a piece of post it notes, making sure to have as much of the image where the sticky backing is, then fussy cut it out, do not leave a “halo” around the image, you want to cut it as close as possible!
It is just a little fussy to create, but not to bad, and the end results are so worth it in my opinion!
Watch the video below to see how easy it is
I hope I have given you the confidence to try this fun technique!
All of the items I used are available in my Online Store (the Silver Metallic Thread is retiring!), just click on the images below to add them to your shopping cart
