Today I have a fun Halloween Banner to share with you!
I got this idea in my head to create a fun seasonal banner using some products from the Holiday Mini and the Annual Catalogue, I am so happy that it turned out as cute as I had imagined it, if you are a crafter then you know that not all ideas we come up with turn out.. so when one does it is a Yippee moment for sure!
Pinwheels made out of paper are nothing new and so easy to make, so I pulled out some of the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ DSP (Designer Series Paper) to create my three pinwheels. The Stockings Dies have the most perfect banner die included in them so I had to pull that out to use with my banner, and that Black Glitter that came back this year was a perfect choice for my letters to really ‘pop’ off my banner!
Here is the video;
My DSP is 1-1/2″ x 6″ strips, as you need your strips to be 12″ in length (this DSP is only 6″) you need to glue two strips together to get your 12″ length, you score it every 1/4″ and then fold in a zig zag to create the hills and valleys, easy peasy!
I used my White Craft Ink and a Sponge Dauber to give everything a worn look
My BOO is cut out three times, twice with Basic Black and once with the Black Glitter Paper, this builds each of the letters up and makes them look more substantial on the banner.
My Black & White Gingham Ribbon (approximately 20″) is coloured with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends
The circle that hold the pinwheel together are Pumpkin Pie cardstock that I die cut out with the smallest of the Layering Circle Dies
