Hello everyone and Happy Friday!!
I am away for the weekend to attend a weekend crop for National Scrapbooking Day, I tried to pack lighter, but of course I didn’t quite get down to the 1 bin I was hoping for.
I think it is a lost cause to try and cut back, you just never know what you might need when you are away…
Okay, enough about me! On to the reason you came by today, to see what project I am sharing with you.
The project I am sharing with you today is one that has a bit of a story to go with it.
In Strathroy, we have a big charity night every spring called Casino Strathroyal, it raises funds for local people to help cover some of their costs of battling cancer.
One of my awesome Lovely Ladies (my loyal Tuesday night class ladies) Chris, suggested we band together and donate some cards for the Silent Auction part of this fundraiser. Of course we were all over that!! I offered to decorate up one of my Card Tins I had gotten during Sale-A-Bration, I grabbed a few of these while I could as they are so handy to have!!
I saw this tin posted by Watercity Stamping on Pinterest and thought it was just perfect for the event, so I CASEd it. Isn’t it just so lovely???
I used the beautiful Botanical Builder Framelits that are retiring, boo…
My flowers are Shimmer White Cardstock that I sponged with Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride ink.
This past Tuesday night we got an update from another one of my Lovely Ladies Melissa, who was at the event, that our card tin went for over $70.00, how awesome, exciting and amazing is that!!!! Yes, I used a lot of words to describe my excitement! I am just so happy that the tin that was filled with cards we all donated went for such a good amount to the great cause!!!
That’s all for today. I have to get ready to head over to the community center.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!
Hugs,
Marcy
