Good morning everyone.
I don’t know about you but I usually don’t make New Year’s Resolutions, they are easy to make and break so I usually avoid them. This year I actually made one (shocking I know after what I just wrote!) that I think is going to be easy to keep.
What is it you might ask, well, I am going to send more cards, otherwise know as Happy Mail. I know I love getting Happy Mail, I am sure you do as well.
I saw a card posted by Kirsteen Gill and had to CASE it, you know me though, I had to tweak it and make it my own. I changed the paper, sentiment, instead of pearls I used the beautiful Metal Rimmed Pearls that I have been hoarding (yes I do confess, I do tend to hoard pretty things). I had bought 5 packages of these when they were on sale last year and had yet to use them, this card was the perfect opportunity!! I also added some sliver thread.
I sent this card to my amazing friend Anne Granger, she is always there for me and truly is a beautiful blessing to me. This card was perfect for her I thought, a beautiful card for a beautiful friend.
This card uses both the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Dies and the Bold Butterfly Framelits. Here is a useful tip for when you go to recreate it, glue your diecut heart onto your piece of card stock first before you use your butterfly framelit. Then run it through the big shot to make the butterfly, this makes your life so much easier, believe me!
This card is going to be part of my upcoming Stamp Chat Snack on February 2nd, I still have a few spots left, if you would like to join us please let me know.
So what do you think, is sending more cards a great idea for the new year, I think so and hope you do as well.
I encourage you to brighten someones day, send them some Happy Mail!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Marcy.
