Hello and Happy Saturday!
I hope your Saturday is going well so far and your weekend is off to a great start!
Last night I was up until 12:30 reading a book that I have been working on for months and months. It is very unusual for me to not only be up that late (I am an early bird, not a night owl), and to be reading a book that long. It usually takes me a month tops (sometimes a day!!) to read a book, but I have been so busy that setting time aside to read has been low on the priority list. I am happy that finishing my book can be scratched off my to-do list!
Are you wondering what today’s blog title is referring to??
33 years ago today Brad and I had our First Date, it doesn’t seem that long ago, but when I look at our family and life I think, where does the time go??
It is funny how some things stick in your mind, like how I gave Brad some not so great directions to my house (no surprise there as I have a terrible sense of direction) and he had to stop at someones house and call me to find out how to find my home. Back then we lived in the country and one side road looks pretty much like the next, lots of farmers fields and a few houses scattered here and there. We went to a Valentine’s Dance and a local group called Melting Ice was playing, he wore grey cords and a white shirt, I wore a red dress and my heels matched the belt I had cinched around my waist. It was the 80’s so my hair was BIG, ha-ha!! It sure is fun remembering back then to when we started!!!
Today’s card is one that I am giving Brad today and the ladies at my last class made. I CASEd it from the super talented Patty Bennett, I tweaked it a bit by changing the colour (her card was blue), adding another layer (I do love my layers!!) and eliminating the velum she had on hers. Thanks Patty for the inspiration!!This card combines products from both the Annual Catalogue and the Occasions Catalogue. I love the soft, subtle look of this card, it can be used for any occasion I think; wedding, anniversary, valentine, shower…
Before I go, I want to ask you, do you remember your first date with your significant other?? I would love to read about it, please leave me a comment telling me all about it!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Marcy
