Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing a traditional scrapbook page I created for last months Memory Keeping club.
I had gone away for a fun weekend with my sisters and niece back in September and wanted to get my memories in my book right away. I have said in past posts that being part of a Memory Keeping Club is a great way to get your memories off your devices and into a book, I know for a fact that it is helping me get mine done!!!
My niece Naomi’s jacket colour is Fresh Fig, so I wanted to really highlight that colour on my page.
I used the Colorful Seasons Bundle (page 147 Annual Catalogue, #145348) to create my leaves. I stamped the skeleton leaf image in Fresh Fig onto Crumb Cake cardstock, I then stamped the large solid leaf (stamped off first) in Fresh Fig over top of this and then die cut it out using the framelits. My smaller solid image leaves are stamped off as well and then stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock. The little splatter dots you can see are Clear Wink of Stella, you know how much I LOVE this product, I am not kidding when I say I add it to everything I can!!.
I added a Delicate while Doily to my layout and added depth and interest to it by inking it up with Fresh Fig.
Changing the colour of your doily is so easy, simply place your doily on top of your ink pad and use a bone folder to carefully press the doily into the ink pad. Once you have created the desired depth and consistency of the colour you want, carefully peal it off the ink pad and set it aside to dry. A little Gold Metallic Thread and a slight splatter of the Clear Wink of Stella really make it pop I think!
My thin strip of Crumb Cake cardstock that I have running across the page was stamped with the stamp Blessed from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. The fact that it is a Photopolymer stamp set makes it easy to achieve the generational stamping that I used here. I inked up the stamp and stamped it once, breathed on it to re moisten the ink and stamped it again, breathed on it a second time to re moisten the little remaining ink that is left on the stamp to stamp it a third time. I love the way it turned out!!!
The sentiment in the top right hand of my page is from the awesome Count My Blessings stamp set (page 50 of the Holiday Catalogue, code #144790 for the clear mount, code #144787 for the wood mount), I love this stamp set and really hope that it will carry over to the next Annual Catalogue!!
I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp my sentiment on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
I just love the way my page turned out, the added stamps and embellishments really take this page up a notch I think!
I hope I am inspiring you to get your photos printed and into a book with the pages I am sharing, it truly makes me happy to hear you are creating pages with your memories to share with loved ones!!!
