Hi everyone!
Today I am here with the WWYS (What Will You Stamp) Challenge Blog, and I have a soft and subtle card to share with you that uses the Country Home Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Holiday Catalogue.
I know that the fall is typically a time to create vibrant cards with the rich reds, oranges and yellows, but I was feeling in a soft and subtle kind of mood. I pulled out my favourite soft green, Soft Sea Foam and designed from there.
I did add a very subtle hint of copper though, I was thinking of a subtle patina look when I came up with this card.
To create this look, I added a drop of the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint to a clear block, I then used my Aqua Painter filled with water to dilute the colour, and added it randomly across the card front, the water jug, die cut circle and piece of Chicken Wire. I just love the way this turned out!! To pull in a bit more of the Soft Sea Foam, without overpowering the card, I coloured some pearls with my Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker and added them to the card front. I stamped the flower spray with the cotton flowers in it two times and then fussy cut just the cotton flowers out to add to my milk jug. My base is my usual go to, Thick Whisper White card stock, the card front, die cut circle, milk jug and flowers are all regular Whisper White. I just used a piece of the Chicken Wire Elements behind the die cut circle. I separated the Linen Thread so that it is just one strand that is tucked behind the die cut circle, I wanted it to be a thinner piece than it already is. If you pull the Linen Thread apart, you can get three nice skinny strands, perfect for a more subtle look I think.
