Hi everyone!
Do you love Designer Series Paper, do you use it, or just look at it, afraid to cut it wrong??
The card I have for you today is one we did at my Love It – Chop It class in September, thank you Kylie Bertucci for this phrase and idea of teaching people to use their DSP (Designer series Paper) instead of hoarding it!!
Everyone started with a 12″ x 12″ piece of Garden Lane Designer Series Paper and their paper trimmer. I then took them step by step through the process of cutting their paper down and then creating 3 different cards using the 3 different sized pieces they got from the one 6″ x 6″ square of DSP. This card is one they made with the 3/4″ strip the had left (it was 3/4″ x 6″ and we cut it in half so that it was 3/4″ x 3″), by layering it up they were able to create a pretty card using that little strip.

As you can see, every piece of your pretty Designer Series Paper can be used in some way, so I urge you to stop hoarding your paper and Love It – Chop It!!!
Here are the measurements for my card
Thick Whisper White card stock base – 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″
Pear Pizzazz card stock – 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″, plus a strip to layer under the DSP that measures 3 1/8″ x 7/8″
Whisper White card stock – 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″
Garden Lane DSP (Designer Series Paper) – 3″ x 3/4″
Mossy Meadow card stock – scrap large enough to die cut out 1 sprig from the Frosted Bouquet Dies – I snipped part of the sprig off to place on the opposite end of the DSP
Vellum card stock – scrap large enough to die cut out a leaf from the Frosted Bouquet Dies – I snipped off 2 leaves from this to add to the opposite end of the DSP
Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine – enough to wrap around 3 fingers to create a circle under the popped up DSP card stock layer. I pulled the Bakers Twine apart, giving me 2 lengths out of the one piece, this gives it less bulk on your card when you do this
