Good morning everyone!
It’s a pretty quiet Sunday morning here with everyone still sleeping except me, as I’ve told you before I’m an early riser, as in 6:30 am I was up and started the laundry. I love quiet mornings where you don’t have to rush to get anywhere, just enjoy your morning coffee, read the flyers, listen to the birds, pure bliss if you ask me!
Hubby and I went up to our cottage the middle of the week for a few days, the last time I was up I noticed the garage floor was covered in water, ugh not a good thing at all! So we went up to get it mopped up and try to figure out what was going on. Hubby figures that as there was so much snow this year it was built up all around the side and back of the garage and as it melted it seeped inbetween where the concrete meets the wood. I moved things out and around so he could get it cleaned up as best he could, fingers crossed the next time we head up we won’t find more water on the floor.
I want to share a photo of our back yard at the cottage as there is still so much snow up there, yikes it feels like spring is never going to arrive in Bruce County! We left there yesterday at lunch time and it was 7 degrees there, when we got back to Strathroy it was 18 degrees here, a crazy difference in temperatures when it is only just over 2 1/2 hours from door to door!!
On to today’s card. I made it this morning and am happy with the way it turned out, I don’t know about you but I am always in need for a guys card and I think this one works quite well. I used my Word Bubbles Framelits for the sentiment, it wasn’t quite big enough so I improvised and made it work. How you ask, well it really is quite easy, make sure you paper is trimmed down enough so you can slip the top of it through your framelit and have the bottom on top of the die so it doesn’t get cut, run it through your big shot to cut the top, then switch it around, put your bottom through so it will cut the shape at the size you need, make sure the top of your paper (that you have already cut) is not under the blade part it should be sitting on top of the framelit. Run it through your big shot and there you have it, a word bubble that fits the sentiment, how cool is that!!
