Hi Everyone!
Today I am sharing a card with you that uses the emboss resist technique, a fun and easy technique that has been around for quite a long time.
I used the Drizzling Droplets & Sweetly Scripted stamp sets that are part of Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives
For those of you that may be new to paper crafting and not familiar with this technique, let me explain.
Apply Versa Mark ink to a stamp and apply/stamp onto white cardstock, apply clear or white embossing powder and heat set.
Once the embossed image is cooled, apply coloured ink to the cardstock using a blending brush as in the video below
Here are the measurements for my card;
- Thick Basic White cardstock – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Fresh Freesia cardstock – 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″, 5/8″ x 4″, plus a piece to die cut a leaf sprig from the Lifetime Of Love Dies
- Basic White cardstock – 4″ x 5-1/4′ (2 of these), 1/2″ x 4″, a piece to die cut 2 leaf sprigs from the Lifetime Of Love Dies
- The Soft Sea Foam card are the same measurements
- I added 5 Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to finish off my card
