Hi Everyone!
Today I have a fun fold card for you that uses a fun new Halloween stamp set called Playful Ghosts, this stamp set can only be found in the Online Exclusives section of my Online Store
My card was inspired by a birthday card my friend Chris had given me, be sure to watch the video as I share the card there!
Now I know you are probably thinking Halloween? But it’s just July! Well…Stampin’ Up! has released fall & Christmas stamp sets/bundles in the Online Store now so that we have more time to get our fall and holiday themed projects started. My niece had a “story” on her social media the other day of all kinds of Halloween Decor, including pink pumpkins & ghosts! EEK I have to get out and get some pink Halloween Decor!
Here are the measurements for my card;
- Gorgeous Grape cardstock card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ on the 8-1/2″ side. Place card front on your trimmer, angle over the cutting track from the score line at the top to the bottom right corner and slice off
- Gorgeous Grape cardstock – 3″ x 8″, scored at 4″ on the 8″ side, this is the mini inside card
- Basic Black cardstock – 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ place this piece on the trimmer cutting track and slice from the top left to the bottom right, 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ (for the inside of the card), 2-7/8″ x 3-7/8″ (2 of these)
- Country Lace 12″ x 12″ DSP – 4″ x 5-1/4″ cut on the diagonal, 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Basic White cardstock – 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, two of these, the piece for the card front is coloured with Fresh Freesia classic ink and a Blending Brush, I added just a tad of Gorgeous Grape to the top. I then splattered water and clear Wink Of Stella (set this aside to dry), I stamped the ghost coming out of the pumpkin on the inside piece, a scrap to stamp sentiment on and cut down
- Thick Basic White cardstock – a piece to stamp the ghost on the broom, colour and fussy cut
- I added a black Baker’s Twine bow to the back of the sentiment
- My ghost is coloured with the Gorgeous Grape Watercolour Pencil (we don’t have a Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Blend), and the following Stampin’ Blends – Smoky Slate, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, Bubble Bath, #500 ( Medium Deep Combo Pack), Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie, Crumb Cake, Colour Lifter
- I used the Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio to do my ink blending on, #163987 $82.00
