Hi everyone, can you believe it is Friday already?
It was a crazy busy week for me so I have not posted since Tuesday, sigh…
Last night Brad and I drove up to our cottage after supper, I also had to make a couple retirement cards that were needed for tomorrow before we headed out. Like I said, it was a crazy busy week for me and I did not get any time in my craft room until 7pm last night. We did not arrive here until 11:30 pm last night and I really think that was a good thing as if we had seen how long the grass was we just might have pulled out of the driveway and gone back home!! It has been a month since we were up here last, my birthday to be exact, yikes, that was way too long as the grass is so long we are actually growing wildflowers in the middle of the backyard!!
Just look at this.I swear there is a house number sign here, I just need to get out my headge trimmers to find it!!Okay now that I have shared the yard work that awaits me I will share a card with you.
I have a friend who’s husband has retired from teaching (yesterday was his last official day) after a long and successful career. They are having a retirement party for him tomorrow night and although we can’t be there I wanted to send a card and bottle of wine (Italian of course, I think they make the best wine).
I used my new stamp set Wild About Flowers for Herm’s card. I actually purchased this set thinking about Herm’s retirement coming up as I did not have a retirement sentiment in my collection of stamps, crazy eh!!
I think this is a great set as it is photopolymer (makes two step stamping so easy!!) and there are 12 stamps in it, althought I purchased it for the retirement sentiment I know I will be getting a lot of use out of it!I paired the stamp set with my new Brick Wall embossing folder ( he’s a teacher, schools are made with bricks, hahahha, I’m just so funny!!), this new folder is a whopping 6″ x 6″, how awesome is that, love the new bigger embossing folders SU has added to the collection!!
Happy retirement Herm, I hope Connie’s “honey do” list isn’t too long, hahaha…
Well I better get out there and start the yardwork.
Thanks for stopping by,
Marcy
